Holiday Gift Guide: Best of BC

Now that we’re officially in the gift-giving season, Muse has put together some of our favourites to help you find the perfect product for the cannabis-lover on your list! Or maybe a treat for yourself? Either way, check back every week in December for a selection of goodies curated by our Wayfarers.

Here in BC, we’re fortunate to be home to some of Canada and perhaps the world’s greatest growers. Some of these companies were part of building the legacy of BC bud and some are part of a new generation of cannabis cultivators. Either way, this list is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of your options for local, quality flower from this province. Now read on to learn about some of our favourite companies of 2023!

Sweetgrass Organic Cannabis (Kootenays)

Hailing from the Kootenays, Sweetgrass is on the top of most of our staff picks list with their stellar lineup of flower and pre-rolls. Perhaps most beloved is their Mint Chocolate Chip which is a cross of Mystery Cookies and Green Ribbon BX. We love their commitment to superb growing practices from their careful selection of seeds to water to living soil which all amounts to a clean, smooth smoke every time.

Rubicon (Delta)

Rubicon is home to a handful of our favourite brands including 1964 Supply Co., Simply Bare, and Homestead. Grown in Delta, this cannabis gives us serious “farm-to-table” vibes” with it being less than an hour away from most of our locations. Proximity aside, we’re huge fans of their quality organic buds, concentrates, and pre-rolls. The team favourite this year was definitely the Gelato #41 from 1964, a smooth hybrid with an indica lean that helps you keep calm and carry on.

Woody Nelson (Nelson)

When we think of BC bud, Nelson has always been a destination for cannabis-lovers. This legacy has built a foundation for Woody Nelson to thrive and provide us with some top-tier organic flower this year. We loved everything from the Glade Runner, to SSOG to their incredible Rainbow Driver which we could hardly keep on the shelves when it first dropped.

All Nations (Chilliwack)

We love our communities, so when we heard that there was a new brand called All Nations coming out of Chilliwack we were excited. When we found out that they were Indigenous grown, the anticipation likewise grew. Then after finally trying their products we were fully on board. Their Stó:lō Haze is a fan and staff favourite alike and gets its name from the Stó:lō Traditional Territory which All Nations operates on and highlights the weaving of “traditional Indigenous values with industry leading cultivation methods”.

Pistol and Paris (Agassiz)

Back when Pistol and Paris first came onto the market with Orange Tingz, we were instantly hooked and they have continued to be favourites at our stores to this day. Grown across British Columbia, they embrace the legacy roots of cannabis while working within the current legal landscape to provide quality flower to Canadian consumers. We love the pre-roll Multipack which offers a sampling of their top cultivars and the current batches of the Pink Goo which are flying off the shelves.
